Anniversary
and Housekeeping and Bragging
By
BJ Neblett
Hello
again. I hope 2014 is starting off great for all of you! It looks like this
year will be a great one for writing in general, and for this humble wordsmith.
My first novel Elysian Dreams continues to do well and my best selling historical memoir Ice
Cream Camelot, released as an e book last year will be available in paperback
this spring/summer!
February
4 marks the two year anniversary for this blog. Some 72 posts later and it
seems like just yesterday. But there is a reason why it has been two years, and
why 72 posts, and why both books are selling so well and why I’ve had a dozen
short stories accepted and/or published just this past year. The reason is YOU!
And I can’t thank each and every one of you enough!
According
to Alexa Traffic Ratings, a nifty little APP for keeping track of blog traffic,
in two years this blog site has moved from 4 million plus to a rating of 463,814!
Those numbers translates into a ranking somewhere in the top 18% of all sites on
the web. Not just writer’s sites, or blogs, but a readership and hit rate
in the top 18% to 21% of ALL web sites! YIKES! Last month alone my author blog
received some 2,000 page views. And this during the holiday season when most
people surely had better things to do.
And
that’s not all! The good folks over at Short Story Me who have been publishing
several of my stories report that Seven
Seconds, my chilling tale of suicide, received almost 25,000 reads since it
first appeared on November 10! Yikes again!
And
there’s more: Satan’s Blood, a nifty
little horror story about a night in a federal prison, appeared in eFiction
Magazine recently. The on line literary magazine available through Amazon,
B&N and other E Book distributors now ranks in the top 5% of Amazon’s Kindle
magazine sales! Nice company to be among.
And,
once again, it is all because of YOU! THANK YOU!
Recently
I have seen a huge increase in readership from France, Belgium, Brazil and the
Ukraine and other countries. Not sure where that may have come from, but thank you and welcome to
the fold! Everyone can continue to count on finding only the best in Fantastic
Literature on every visit.
Again,
thanks to all. Let’s keep the ink flowing, the ball rolling and the love growing! Below you will find an updated list of some of the sites where you can find
my humble scribbling. Just click on the link! And in a couple of weeks we’ll be right back to format
with another short story to make you go hummm….
As always please feel free to comment. I’d love to hear your thoughts, ideas for
stories, and anything else you’d care to share.
Peace,
BJ
